ring to external and internal phone with same extension

Hello,

I have a user who has both an external Mitel 5320e phone and an internal Mitel 5320e phone.  Is it possible for these two phones to ring at the same time and it have the same extension?  If not possible, what's the best way to accomplish this?

Depending on the software version of your phone system; yes.

If there is a "main" extension, presumably the internal 5320, then create a Dynamic Extension with the external 5320 being the 2nd Desk Phone.

Otherwise you will need to create a Hunt Group with an Extension list as a member.

Thanks Tech Electronics, you're always very helpful.  I couldn't get it to work so I went into Dynamic Extensions and just did 'Twining On/Off' and am using two extensions instead of one.

Are you sure that you are on a Mitel 5000 and not a 3300? Twining is not terminology used in the 5000.

I wish we had the 3300.  But no, we are on the Mitel 5000.  There is a 'Twining On/Off' feature that I can program through 'Programmable Keys'.  I put in number 364.
