IE Errors With MCD 6.0SP3
« on: August 10, 2016, 04:11:01 PM »
Here's a couple of things I haven't been able to figure out.

I have a customer running 6.0SP3.  I connect to it via Cisco's AnyConnectSecure client.
I'm Running IE11

I have two problems with this customer and it happens with all of their systems.
1) In maintenance I click the command line and it immediately pops up with an error that says "unable to get property 'tagname' of undefined or null reference"   I click OK and then I'm able to enter commands but it happens every time I click in the command line window.  I've attached a screenshot of the error.

2)  There's some type of timeout error going on.  If I'm on the system of any length of time I get "Content Blocked" and I have to start all over again.  It's frequent enough that I can't get anything done.

It doesn't happen with FireFox but because I have to use the latest version of FF for MCD 7.0 systems I can't make any changes in FF.
My work around had been to fire up a virtualbox with WinXP and the compatible version of FF but the customer switched to the New Cisco Client and it won't load in it.

Has anyone seen this?

Ralph

Here's how I have IE 11 set up, I use it to talk to systems running MCD4 SP4, 6.0UR3, and 7.2SP1:

Set Security Level for Trusted Sites and Local Intranet to "Low".
Add all MCD 7+ systems to Trusted Sites list.
Add MCD 4 and MCD 6UR3 systems to Intranet Sites.
Set Compatibility View to display intranet sites in Compatibility View.
Install Root Certificate.
Clear temporary Internet files and re-start IE.

Thanks for the reply, lundah.
Unfortunately that didn't help.

I'm thinking there may be a issue with Java causing the maintenance command error.  What version of Java are you running?
Not sure what's going on with the security certificate error.

I have 1.6.0_1 and 1.6.25 loaded. You can also run with a newer version but you have to add security exceptions for any older releases and keep the old JRE's installed.

The fact that you're still getting certificate errors tells me you may not have the security certificate installed, be sure to put it in Trusted Root.
