Change status for other user as an admin
« on: June 14, 2016, 01:22:59 PM »
Hi,

we recently implemented a Mitel system and are using MiCollab 7.1. Since the system is new, users forget to set their status to out of the office at the end of the day. Is it possible as an admin to set the status for these users to out of office? Or can it be done programmatically using a script?

I remember being asked this and my recollection from reading the documentation is that this was possible from the MiCollab Client Console.

Hi,

thanks for the reply. We don't have a license for that, but I'll look into it. From the included management consoles this isn't possible?

The Console is a MiCollab Client that has had the console licence added.

With this version, I think users could schedule the change using the new webclient. I see it there but have tried it yet. I know it can be done via the mobile client.

@VinceWhirlwind: I understand, but what I mean is if the same can be done from the administrative web-console on the server where you administer the users and assign the licenses.

@johnnp: Yes, that's indeed possible, but not all users have the mobile client and if a user forgets to set the status or is sick, we want to modify their status on behalf of the user.
