Mid Call Hang Up
« on: April 15, 2016, 01:15:54 PM »
5000 HX Controller
PRI Lines
Digital Phones (8528)

I have one user at a newly installed site that is experiencing something weird.   They will be on an internal call and out of no where the call will be disconnect.  The person they are speaking with says it sounds like the user slammed the phone down but that user didn't.   This has happened multiple times, always impacting the same extension but with different internal callers.

Ext 101 calls Ext 102
They are both speaking on their handsets
The call is disconnected and Ext 102 hears something like a phone being slammed down
Ext 101 just goes dead

Any thoughts?

Never saw that but I'd try:
1. Switch phone set with another, see if problem moves...if not
2. Re-punch connections to problem phone (all connections, to include tail from PBX, intermediate block, station jack)...if problem is still there
3. Move that ext to a different port on system (you can create NEW ext, then do STATION SWAP to move ext and mailbox to new circuit).

Is there anything in the message print history like the phone losing connection? Could be a cabling issue...
