How to add an IP Phone to my 3300 Mitel/ Innovation system
« on: July 05, 2010, 02:09:22 PM »
Hi I'm new here / newbie.

I have a Mitel 5340 / 5224 IP Phone (license was already registered on the switch), but I don't know what extension # / if the IP phone was actually setup. How do I do this? This is on a Mitel 3300 Controller that has the Innovations Cisco Switch.

Thanks :)

Well to start, the Cisco Switch has nothing to do with it so you can put that out of your mind.

The first thing I'd have you do is verify your licenses.   Go to the configuration->> licensing>>system capacity and check to be sure that you have available licenses.   I know you said you do, but check.

Next, go to the form "IP Telephones - All".  Look for the phones that are out of service.   You can get an idea of what extension number are programmed but don't have a phone attached.
