Routing Calls To Different Groups
« on: March 23, 2016, 09:30:20 AM »
Hi

We have a door bell phone that our office manager wants to route calls from as follows.

The bell will need to rotate each time it calls, for example;

Call 1 – Group 1
Call 2 – Group 2
Call 3 – Group 3

Seeing as you can't add a hunt group or ring group into another such group how can I achieve this?

I would think you could do it in a couple of ways.
1) put a unique key appearance for each call group on each call groups members phones and then build a circular hunt group with those keys as members.  Ring the door bell to the hunt group.
2)  Create 3 phantom phones, then create personal ring groups for each one, put each of the group members in the ring groups.  Then put the phantom phones in a circular hunt group and ring the door bell to it.

You could set up a ring group with the members and set up a speedcall to each of those ring groups and program the hunt group as circular using the speedcall numbers.

You could set up a ring group with the members and set up a speedcall to each of those ring groups and program the hunt group as circular using the speedcall numbers.

x-man,
Speed calls as hunt group members?

Yup, I'm sure I read that somewhere in the help files once although it may have been networked hunt groups. Don't have a lab system set up at present to test.

To answer my own question, this does appear to work.

That's awesome.  Now I've learned something.  I've needed to do that a couple of times.  I wonder when that was introduced.
