I am having problem programming a Mitel 5550 IP Console on a Mitel 3300 CXi.
This is what i did:
I program a static ip address for the 5550 IP Console. I also included the mac address of the IP Console when programming the static ip. I also program the 5550 IP Console in the Mitel 3300 CXi I add the mac @ when programming the IP Console. I connect (cat5 cable) the keypad on the Layer 2 switch of the CXi and the other port of the keypad on the PC! I use cat 5 cable"straight cable".
Run the software of the console on the PC and notice that the connection is ok with the Mitel 3300 ICP CXi. But i am still getting the red light on the top left of the keypad. On the PC i check that the pc is getting an ip address of the dhcp on the Mitel 3300 icp.
I tried almost everything, reinstall the software of the console on the pc, reboot the Keypad, delete the static, programm it once again but nothing !!!
Can somebody help me please!!
In the box i received two cable. One black one (cat5) and a white/grey one (cat5)

Try putting the MAC address of the console in the 3300 manually.

You put the address statically in the DHCP section try putting it in the console assignment form

The console assignment form. Do you mean when programming the 5550 IP Console on the Mitel 3300 CXi? If yes, i also that that.

What i did. Manualy add the mac address in the dhcp section and also in the section when programming the 5550 IP Console on the 3300 CXi. When running the software om the PC i can see that the connection is ok.The pc connecting to the keypad is getting ip address and in the lease viewer i can see the static ip and also the ip that the pc is getting. But still red light (Nothinh, Nada, )

What DHCP options are you using?

125 only or do you have the old options in there also?

I am using Option 125 (ipphone) and Option3 (router).
In the box i received two cable, one cat 5 cable and one white/grey cable. I Connect the white/grey cable on the keypad ethernet port to the inbuild layer 2 switch and the black cat5 cable on the other keypad ethernet port to the pc.

I think that i am having problem with networking, because when running the ip console software on the pc in the last step of the software the pc give you a message that the attempting connecting is ok, but some how the keypad is not registering.

Try adding these

option-128      IP of 3300
option-129      IP of 3300
option-130      string  MITEL IP PHONE

i have seen keypads with old software that doesn't understand the 125 option

128 IP address of the 3300
129 IP address of the 3300
130 ASCII string MITEL IP PHONE

if you are using vlans you also need

132 vlan id in hex
133 priority in hex

If you are sure that all is correctly programmed on the 3300, then to rule out network connectivity, plug the console keypad directly in the front of the CXi, this way it has a direct connection.

If this fails, then 3300 programming is incorrect. If it works, then put the console keypad back where you want it and see what happens.
