Meet Me Conference extension activation

We use the Meet Me Conference feature quite a bit and have had no problems.

Today, however, a conference was to start during our lunch hour, while the receptionist is away and the auto attendant on.

Individuals calling in could not access the Meet Me Conference as the extension was unavailable.

How do I make the extension available for these situations?

The problem is that you don't have that extension listed in your voice processor extension IDs (VOICE PROCESSOR/DEVICES/EXTENSION IDs)...add that to the list and you're fine.  From a CRA you can only dial extensions that have IDs or mailboxes...I suspect that is because you'd need the spoken name if you use dial-by-name directory.  Within that Extension ID entry you can also turn off the transfer prompt, if desired, and you can log into the EXTENSION ID just as you would a mailbox to record the name.
Also suggest you consider making the conference bridge a single-digit unannounced choice from the main menu.
