Inbound calls not coming through
« on: December 24, 2015, 12:42:45 PM »
I have SIP trunks (as well as 2 loop start)  setup and I am able to dial out but I cannot receive incoming calls on the sip trunks.  The incoming calls on the LS come through.

I am am very new to Mitel just finishing the certification class last week, but I am at a loss for what is going.   I have tried a couple of different SIP carriers with the same results so I do not think it is a trunk issue.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jchristman2002,

Are you able to dial out on the SIP trunks or just the Loop Start trunks.

Thanks,

TE

I am able to dial out of both the Loop Start and the SIP trunks.

I have eliminated firewall as an issue when I put the PBX expose directly on the public side of the firewall and get the same results.

What happens when you call into the phone system from the SIP connection?  Do you just hear the phone ringing?

getting busy signal.

Also to note, I am seeing a 403 Forbidden error in the SIP logs.

I did figure this one out.  It took some time and assistance from Mitel support but I was putting individual IP addressed in the alternate IP/FQDN.  We put in default for the FQDN name and the calls started pouring in.  It seems the carrier was sending form additional IP addresses that were not in their documentation and I was blocking anything that wasn't specifically listed.
