BLF fast flash
« on: July 30, 2015, 12:01:20 AM »
Likely a stupid question but I can't seem to hunt down the answer.  BLF key on an PKM fast flashes for an extended period of time (multiple hours).
Looks pretty similar to the flashing speed when an extension is receiving an incoming call but the flashes continues for hours.

Not sure this is an issue, might be just an unknown to me.

Thx

Most likely the station is off-hook or in DND. What happens when the button is pressed?

I haven't been able to confirm what happens when the button is pressed but I will have the end user try this next time.

DND flashing is slower, the flashing they are reporting is faster like when the extension is receiving an incoming call.

Hershel,

Here are the basics for BLFs on the 5000.

Continuously Lit: The extension is busy or off-hook.
Slowly flashing: The extension is in Do-Not-Disturb (DND).
Quickly flashing: The extension has a call ringing in.
Continuously flashing: The extension is causing a “Station Off-Hook” system alarm.

Have them hang up the phone properly.

Thanks,

TE
