system maintenance & software logs

How could i erase system maintenance & software logs from mitel or does it affect to the running data base if the logs are increase or is anyway to remove logs by it sefl?

dont see why you would want to delete these records. The stystem ahs limited capacity for the logs and will overwrite the oldest with new records

what you mean if it didn't delete them it could affct performance? That would have been a big design fault on Mitels behalf if it did.

Mitel software and Maint logs will reach 500 ish and then it will start to overright the logs. As far as I know these logs cannot be delete. The generation of these logs will not effect the running of your system, as these logs are very small.

Tell me what is the exact problem are you experienciing with the system.

Going back a couple of decades, in the 2K the command to purge was "logs purge maintenance all"
You could also change the size of the logs - "logs size maint file <number of records>"
I highly don't recommend you do that.   There shouldn't be a performance impact on the system either way.
