How to stop spoofing of your numbers

Does anyone know of a method of how to stop telemarketers from spoofing your company numbers?

We have had several calls into a few of our numbers and they all are complaining that our company called them and want to know why we called.
We verified that we have no association with these callers and have determined the calls being made spoofing our numbers claims they are from Microsoft and are attempting to renew licensing or something similar to that.

I have filed a complaint with the FCC, but not sure what they can do.

Is there anything that I can do in the system to stop this?

There is no way to stop this.
These "microsoft" things seem to generally becoming from India.
Perhaps the only recourse is to file a formal criminal complaint with the FBI.
I've never had to do that so if you go that route please update us here as to how the process went along with results so we can all learn from your experience.
