What is a 'Code Change' system reset? Release is 5.1.0.46

The system saw a change in how its OS is operating and did a reset to compensate for that. We had that problem when a system would get brown outs on its power supply. We have also seen that with corrupted or bad Compact Flash Cards as well as incomplete system upgrades.

Interesting. I saw this reason code on a system where the IT company had left SSH open to the world. The logs indicated ~22000 SSH login attempts per day and the users reported to us that the phones were performing sluggishly, before stopping working completely.

Leaving ports open to all is a no no, this can causes all sorts of weird issues.  We always get ports locked down to our source IP or look at a secure VPN connection.

Its just not worth the risk, also I have read other systems (not Mitel) having similar issues with ports open.  I remember reading Avaya suggested turning off auto phone registration as I believe people were hacking system and auto registering new devices to make calls.  What ends up being a really handy install tool for an engineer ends up being a great tool for hackers.
