Any reason why you are SIP trunking the systems and not IP trunking them?

We've done this by leaving both sides at default and that's fine.

I'm actually trying a loop back sip trunk to test something but just get error.

Basically I need to be able to override DND from a particular SIP end point.

The devices that are in DND are also SIP. I'm led to believe that trunk calls can override the DND. I tried a loop back IP truck to no avail.

Any thoughts?

This is NOT possible. The SIP loopback I mean. The DND override can only work if the DND is controlled by the 3300 and NOT the SIP device. If that is the case then use the Override feature available on the switch.

The DND SIP endpoint returns 406 busy here which means I have no way to press the single digit override key... Any thoughts on another way round this?

I would think that if the endpoint is controlling the blocking then the 3300 won't be able to override since it's not in control.

You may experiment with have the end points use the Feature Codes.  This would put the 3300 in control of access.

I think this is just general sip messaging nothing specific with these sip phones. I've tried it with multiple sets.... Can you override dnd from a sip to sip call? I may be over thinking this but tried multiple things
