Our system is on Release 7.0.  Does Mitel notify users of new releases or must we rely on our vendor?
How difficult is it for the end user to install a new release?

You need to rely on your vendor for updates.
We do have customers that will upgrade thier own switches but we never recommend it.  It the event something happens (and shtuff does happen) you'll want to be sure your vendor is on board and available.  Otherwise you could easily be out of business for a while.
