(NuPoint) Re-Record System Prompts?
« on: December 10, 2014, 05:15:55 PM »
Hi All,
Does anyone know if there is a way to re-record your own system prompts to replace the default ones? And if so, how is it done?

Thanks,
-Iron

It looks like the prompt you are asking about is 2081. It also looks to be 8 bit mono 8Khz mulaw. On the mas I'm looking at the prompts are in /usr/local/vm/audio/prompts/(what is active). You could likely backup and edit the file deleting the first 30 seconds. Haven't tried it but it would be worth a try. It also is likely that any upgrade will over write the change

Here is the short version:

I also tested and yes this works.

johnp,
I was able to successfully replace that file in question and it worked great. I noticed that file 2081 in the English_Numeric was the culprit and that just the English directorys 2081 had the file that said:
"For the letters Q and Z use the 1 key."

I simply copied it and overwrote the other, worked great! Hats off to you!

(I used Filezilla to SFTP to the MAS then worked it from there)

Thanks,
-Iron
