ACD path number out of service and RAD not playing
« on: December 02, 2014, 01:11:18 PM »
Hi - Newbie here, please excuse if this has been answered before.
Trying to setup a new queue and get the hunt group to play the RAD greeting
Have setup new queue and hunt group with 4 VM ports - all set to correct RAD set - vm ports used 9,10,19 and 20
When I dial the hunt group number I get dial tone back.
When I dial the ACD path number it returns out of service.

I am missing some thing obvious I am sure.

Please any help much appreciated - Thanks

In maintenance, do a Locate Features Ext <rad port extension>.
It will probably say DND.

Clear the DND and retry.

Now bear in mind, that if your message is longer than the expected off hook timer in the port COS the rad will go back into DND.

Ralph - all four vm ports are showing no active features and service level: Full
Bit of strangeness with our 3300mxe on MCD5.0 SP2 PR2 Active sw load 11.0.2.66 in that when I have deleted a set and then try to add it later it boots up to 'Set locked out, contact sys administrator' or something similar.  I do wonder if our system needs a reboot or something to cure this and my problem with the new hunt group and ACD path.  It has not bee rebooted in several months or even a year.
Thanks Doug

Do a locate feature on the hunt group to see if it's in DND.

What happens when you dial each of the ports separately?

No active features on hunt group number
Dial hunt group number 5405 returns a dial tone
dial all four vm ports 7909,7910,7919 and 7920 all play the RAD greeting 11
odd eh...

Now I'm guessing...  but try a RAD COS in the hunt group.
Or try a new COS with the rad option enabled to see if that makes a diff.

Not sure if that is worth trying as other hunt groups are setup exactly the same (with same class of service) and they are playing the RAD greeting to me when dialed.
I have noticed some vm ports going into DND mode however - but not the ones I am using for my new RAD hunt group

Of your ACD path is out of service you will not queue, check the Agent group assigned to the path has agents in it and at least one is logged on, Alternatively select the option in ACD Group to queue callers with no Agents logged in.

Thanks - The system has been setup using a 'dummy' agent group so to play RAD greetings I believe - I inherited the setup and understand this was done by a mitel engineer - might be a bit old school method but works well for all my other queues.
I have followed the method for my new queue, followed the hunt group setup, the path setup and just changed the required fields to relate to new agent group, answer point etc.
