Mitel Softphones ?
« on: January 26, 2015, 11:34:30 AM »
3300 MXe 2-Clustered Rel 4.2 / 10.2.0.26_2  EMB-VM 6-SX200 10-ASU

I know there's softphones out there, anyone used any, Mitel or other, that can provide any feedback ?

And am I ok with my Rel 4.2 to use them ?

Thanks !

I think a lot of us have used the X-lite softphone.
It's ok as far as soft phones go.

So Ralph,

I all would need some sip trunks set up on my 3300 for using the X-lite softphone?

You program the softphone as an extension. it will use whatever type of trunks you have.

Forgive my noobness,

But I thought softphone was a sip app and needed sip trunks, not just any trunk ? How would you program it for any trunk ?

It would be SIP between x-lite and 3300 and then use what trunk you have ....ISDN or Alog

Same as an Analogue extension can dial out over ISDN
