Audio Notification while in voicemail
« on: January 19, 2010, 08:32:40 AM »
Is there a way to have an audio notification if you receive a call while you are in your voicemail?

thanks,

If your phone rings when you are busy on another line then you should at least hear a "ring chirp" to let you know that you have a call.

If you mean that while you are in voice mail a message comes on that says you have a new call - no.

I meant, say your listening to your voicemail and someone calls you is there way to have a chirp sound so the user listening to his voicemail knows someone is calling him.

Your phone does this by default.  Nothing to do.
Unless you are using the speaker phone.  Then there is no chirp.

Now I assume your phone does ring when you are the phone and not forward directly to vm.   If that's the case then you'll just need to forward to your second line.

I think your right Ralph - you need to set up a second appearance of your line on your phone.  Multicall Line Appearance I think it is called...

You could also use a single line as opposed to a Multicall and then forward to the second line on a busy.
This is our most common way of doing it because of the remote hold retrieval issues.

Yeah, we did that too - until call park showed up and solved that issue - finally!  :)
