Call forwarding question when in a hunt group
« on: February 23, 2015, 11:22:55 AM »
I have a phone in a hunt group as a member.  There is no user for this phone, but we still want to keep the line active.
The dept head wants the phone calls to be forwarded to his ext.  Which I can do easily enough, but he is also in that hunt group (member).

What problems, if any, will this cause that dept head?

Thanks,
Dan

IIRC the hunt group calls won't be forwarded (we learned that the hard way trying to deal with snow emergencies)

Hunt group calls will be forwarded to an internal extension, but not off site.

Actually both yes and no are correct answers.  Hunt group calls follow MANUAL forwards (code 355 by default, internal destinations only) and destination rings whenever original phone would.  Hunt group calls do not follow SYSTEM FORWARD paths (done through db programming.  So take your pick.
