Simple MOH question
« on: November 13, 2014, 10:59:12 AM »
I have a 3300 controller with 6.0 SP3. I hear music on hold during internal ext to ext calls, but if I call from an outside line or cell phone, I don't hear the MOH. I cannot find the form to turn on MOH for the external caller. I have checked everything I could find in the system options and class of service.

What kind of trunks? In many cases with SIP this is a known issue and MOH doesn't work...

These would be SIP trunks correct. Is there any known fixes for this? The customer had this option before on PRI and really wants this corrected.

How is the SIP trunk provider? How are they terminated to the 3300?

We have the controller -> Mitel MBG -> to the provider through SIP trunk. Is that what your asking?

Yes, that was what I was asking.

Next question, within the SIP Peer Profile, what do you have "Avoid Signaling Hold to the Peer" set to?

Try changing it to Yes and then test MOH again.
