Setting up an operator, turning off AA
« on: October 13, 2014, 03:19:53 PM »
Hello guys and thanks for any help.

Clinic admin is now requesting that we have 1 person on our staff act as an operator for every call coming in.  The goal is to turn off the Auto Attendant and any calls that come in which usually go to the AA, now go to the staff member's phone.  If this a painful process or pretty easy?  At lunch/breaks/end of workday, she would logout and all calls would then return back to the AA.

Thanks !!

You need to figure out how the calls are getting to your AA in the 1st place.
That will depend on what type of trunks you have.
Do you have analog trunks or PRI or SIP?
An analog trunk will be routed differently than PRI or SIP.

PRI.  Ok.
Next you need to know what digits are being sent on the PRI when the main number is dialed.
Do the digits match the pilot number of your VM?
If not, then you need to know what the digits are doing.

Ralph -

I realized that what they wanted me to do is way beyond the scope of my training so I passed this off to Mitel.  I hope that they pass back the steps they did to configure this but I'm assuming they wont do that.  Should be hearing from them today or tomorrow.  Thanks for your help
