Major Rest Due to PS-BS Lost Connection - Ever seen this?
« on: July 28, 2014, 07:30:09 PM »
Hello,

We've been having trouble with our processing server and base server. Every couple weeks this happens and we don't know the cause. I was hoping someone has seen this before and knows how to fix it or deal with it. Is there anything we can do?

Mitel_ephone,

Do you have a managed or unmanaged switch or hub that you are using to connect them together?

Thanks,

TE

Both look like they are connected to a regular s 4-port ethernet switch and this would go into main switch. I suppose that'd be unmanaged?

Mitel_ephone,

Are you a technician or an owner? If you are a technician have downloaded the error logs from the system to see if there are any Quantum errors causing a problem that needs to be reset? If you are an owner you may need to get your vendor involved at some point.

Thanks,

TE

Twice, once was a faulty Switch and the other time was a Ethernet Loop causing the unmanaged switch to make itself very busy!
