Using STAR Application to point to message

Right now I'm trying to set up the Mitel 5000 so we can pre-record holiday messages for all the holidays of the year.

I have a STAR Application setup.  Inside the STAR Application for Holiday's and I have filled in #1 to #13 for all the years holidays and a general one for Inventory.

#7 for example is Canada Day (July 1).  I can double click on the #7 and it brings me to another screen where I have options to choose the application, dates, times, etc.

What application would i have to use so can just point it to a custom recording?

I want to make a custom recording for each Holiday.

Applications from a STAR are normally CRA's. Create a CRA for each required holiday.
If you need it to take messages just send it from the CRA to a mailbox.

And remember that you can "stack" recordings.  So do your closed menu just once, then in the applications stack each holiday and night recording above the generic menu .  Also if you ever need to change the menu you'll only need to re-record one.

I just use one CRA for every holiday with a generic greeting that says "closed in observance of the holiday". Callers will figure out that it's Christmas even if the greeting doesn't mention it. Build the STAR table once, and come back in a year to update it.
