SX-200 Light Alarm List?
« on: October 19, 2009, 03:04:48 PM »
Hi,

First post here.  My alias is Rolan_Kraps.  I work for OutPost Sentinel.  We make remote monitoring and access equipment for PBX's and network equipment (www.pbxmonitor.com).  But that's not why I'm posting...

Our customer is not the "end user" of the PBX, but rather the company that sells it and provides maintenance.  The whole idea is that you provide 7x24 monitoring of the customer's PBX and charge them a monthly fee to do so.

So one of our customers is looking to start monitoring a Mitel SX-200 Light.  I have the technical manuals, but can't find an alarm list to program into our Sentinel Alarm Manager (SAM).

Does anyone have a list of alarms for the Mitel SX-200 Light?

I believe, (and the 200 gurus here will correct me if I'm wrong) that all you get is contact closures.
Minor
Major
Critical

I don't think the 200 has SNMP.

Yes, but we can take the contact closures, change them to RS-232 input, and then log into the SX-200 and ask (nicely) for the current Alarms.  I just need to know what we might get back. ;D

That should be normal - if you have a CD-player with optical out, you will see the same red light all the time.

My G5 also has the red light on all the time

cheers
Peter
