Extension/User not displaying in UCA Directory
« on: April 24, 2014, 01:32:10 PM »
MCD3300

Existing extension number, renamed the user associated with the extension.

New user does not show in my desktop UCA client directory, and the old user does show in the UCA client directory.

On my 5320 handset I can see the new user and extension number in the "Phone Book", and the old user does not show in the "Phone Book".

Issue is the same for the receptionist Attendant Console.

Why are these two directories not current/in sync?

Daniel

Depending on setup, these may resync at default time of 3:00 am or it may need to be done manually.

Depends on how it was setup.

If you changed the name on the mitel 3300 then it will not change on the UCA.
It is a separate database.

If you had MAS with UCA integrated AND you have "Single point provisioning" turned on
Then you would change the name in MAS and it would send that change to UCA and the 3300 phone system

OR if you had the MAS using Active Directory lookup:
You would change the name for the domain user, the MAS would sync with AD and send changes to UCA and 3300

If you have UCA as a separate server OR in the MAS in "co-located" mode then they have separate Databases. So you would need to change the name in two locations

Hope this helps
