Upgrading CXI Controller to MCD 5.0

Dear All,

I have standalone CXI Controller running with software rel 4.0.

when i used the software installer to perform the upgrade to rel 5, it bring me the following message:

The ICP being upgraded is not in SDS mode. Please migrate the system to sync using SDS before continuing the upgrade.

please note that the system is standalone and we donot want any SDS enabling.

can we perform the upgrade without migrate the system to sync using SDS.

Please advise urgently

You can't upgrade until you migrate your database.
Even if it's a stand alone system you still have to migrate.  No choice.
In version 4.0 you could use either database type.  In 5 you must use the new version.
Mitel changed the way the database works so you'll have to migrate it no matter what.

There's an entire section in the help files for migration.
Open up the help docs and do a search for Migration.
It will walk you through it.
For a standalone system it will be pretty simple.
