Need help replacing a phone (registering)
« on: July 16, 2014, 05:44:48 PM »
I am replacing a 5320e phone with a 5330e phone.
We had done this in the past with ***ext[hold button]

This is not working.  I'm at a loss as no info online other than this.

Are we missing something?

Once a phone is registered, you need to either replace or log into the system and clear the MAC address off of the existing extension in db studio.

The default replace code is ###<ext #> but out of the box this feature is disabled.

Where do I go to clear the MAC?  I have not yet seen any MAC info stored.

That replace code must already be active, as they have swapped phones in the past but nothing was mentioned about clearing any MAC addresses.

How can I verify that that has been enabled?

In programming, right click on the station and select Clear PIN Registration. Once that's done, you can use *** to register a new phone.
