Embedded Voicemail question
« on: April 09, 2014, 11:57:59 AM »
3300 MXe 2-Clustered Rel 4.2 / 10.2.0.26_2  EMB-VM 6-SX200 10-ASU

I have an internal department that is moving outside. They will be independent from our facility now. No MBG so...

I've been asked if we can create a voicemail that will give a message of their new phone number and then say Press 2 to be transferred now. Which I'm guessing we might Speed Dial to that new number ?

If you can toss me some options of how you think this would work best.

Thanks very much.

Option 1: n(most complex)
Create a phantom ACD group.  Set it up so that the calls queue to the group for 1 second *important*.
Then reroute the call to VM.   Use a menu node and set it up for option 1 to xfer to a speed dial that sends the call off site.
Now you can forward everyone of the users to the mailbox.

Option 2:
delete all the existing extension and recreate them as system speed dials.
Point the speed dials to the external target.
