Ring time
« on: April 03, 2014, 09:50:16 AM »
Hi we have a 3300 and the higher ups decided to have the switchboard redirect field service people calls to their cells at night. I am using userspeed call to allow the console button re-direct the call. This seems to be working just fine however in many cases the voice mail system is picking up prior to the person with the cell phone can answer the call. I adjust the 'call forward no answer timer' but this did not change it. I then tried 'no answer recall timer' but this only change normal calls. I have setup a new cos for the field people but I cant seem to find what is controlling the ring timer when the forward is activated by access code.

Any information would be great.
Thanks
Don

I think the controlling COS will be the COS of the originating trunk.

If you have copper trunks it may be easier to route those calls out them.
That way it won't recall or forward to VM.  It will forward to the VM of the cell called if the user doesn't answer.
