Using an MSL 10 box as a VPN Server
« on: March 27, 2014, 06:24:42 PM »
Hi,

I have a site i have installed which has an MXE III with MCD 6
Also a MAS with MBG in server-gateway mode which acts as a SIP proxy (physical)
I use the MAS server as a VPN server for remote access, we use the certificate with the VPN account.
I can connect and browse the MAS fine remotely but cannot talk to anything else although everything sits on a flat network.
If i ssh to the MAS remotely i can ping to other devices fine, but not from the remote pc (have tried multiple pc's).

Anyone have any ideas? It won't be local networks, just a bit stumped.

Thanks!

Any chance of overlap between the vpn network and the lan network? Look at MSL's routing table.

Is the MAS Server the only gateway/router?

Once you're connected to the VPN you have to have a route on your PC to point to the remote networks.

Open up a CMD window on you PC and enter "Route Print".
That will show you your IP routing.
You may need to add a route to your PC.

Since it PPTP, I hope your remote network ip scheme is different for what you are connecting to
