Mitel Cs5000: way to route 1 DS0 to one ext, like old mux?
« on: March 27, 2014, 07:18:08 PM »
We have a Mitel Cs5000 that is deployed for emergency response. The T1 provider sometimes would like to just program their end as FXO circuits. I can setup as FXS but not sure how to use 1 DS0 for one extension inbound and outbound.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you're asking how to route 1 channel of T1 to go to a single extension?  Each channel is a separate trunk with its own unique extension (typically 94XXX).  Just create a new CO TRUNK GROUP with only that channel in it, then direct it to ring as desired.  If you'd like to also limit who can use it outbound set up OUTGOING ACCESS within the trunk group.  That TG can also be a button on the phone if needed.
