5320 handset on Call Manager?
« on: March 26, 2014, 10:18:07 AM »
I have acquired an office currently running MiTel 5000 with 5320 handsets.  All other locations are running Cisco Call Manager.  Has anyone successfully added 5320s in a call manager environment?  I'm sure there is some resale value to the handsets but if possible I would like to use them.

I don't believe there's a SIP firmware available for the phones anymore. Mitel phones run on a proprietary protocol: MiNet. Not that I'd recommend butchering the Mitel phone even if it was. You'll most definitely be able to sell them though.

The 5320 phone never was a dual-mode or SIP phone to my knowledge, it does not have SIP compatibility.

As far as resale value, there isn't much in actuality... They sell on eBay for as low as $65 used.

$65 is pretty decent per phone considering they're not going to use them anymore.
