Console not displaying name on inbound call
« on: July 24, 2009, 08:04:21 AM »
I have a DDi programmed on the 3300 version 8 UR4 and console 3.3 it is a speed call which is pointed to a name tag hunt group. I can get the name displayed when the call is answered but would like to display the name when the call is ringing. This is not alpha tagging as it is a DDi on the system.

Any one know how this can be done or any ideas ?

I have similar issue when we forward calls to a hunt group via call reroute always.  Neither MItel nor our vendor could get it working so we gave up trying.  If you get it working I would love to know how.

This is a hack and I'm not sure if it will work or not since I haven't tested it.  (so take that for what it's worth)

(1) program a dummy IP phone.   (this phone will never be plugged in.)
(2) give that phone a unique intercept handling number.
(3) program the intercept handling form to route to the console if the destination is out of service.
(4) program your named hunt group to route to the dummy phone on an always condition.

This will remove the "Call FWD From" stuff on the dispaly however it may also remove the name.    This needs to be tested so please let us know.

You may also want to try setting up a dummy acd path with the unavail option routed to console instead of a named hunt group.

Russell103,
Great news.
Amazing, how as SWilson reports, that Mitel tech support wasn't able to come up with this hack.
Dang!  I should be on the payroll!  <g>
