5000 networking to Broadsoft Enterprise
« on: March 18, 2014, 05:43:34 PM »
It appears I get to try and network a 5000 with a Broadsoft Enterprise v17.2 on Friday via SIP trunking. I've done it with 5000/3300, but this will be new to me. Anyone had experience with this?

I tried and tried and tried, we are a SIP hosted providor and have a Broadsoft Broadworks 17.2 platform... unfortunately I failed at every turn and wound up putting in an Adtran TA908 and converting the SIP to a PRI, that worked.

Not saying it's impossible, we just couldn't get it to work.

The SIP trunks we sell and install are on a Broadsoft Platform, is the Broadsoft Enterprise a SIP trunk platform or another PBX??

Both... we do about 98% hosted PBX, and a handful of SIP trunking, currently only via Adtran TA908's. We would never get the 5000 to work and it was our initial test platform.

Update: We did get it to work, although it was a trunk platform, so no breakthroughs here. Basically, followed the Paetec/5000 SIP guide.

Cool... I'll have to revisit that again.

What SBC did you use? Did you have the 5000 register directly to the Broadsoft, or to the SBC (Adtran/Edgewater/Cisco/whatever router)?
