Disable MWI but not envelope button

Hi folks,
We're using a 3300/NuPoint setup here, recently installed. I've had some requests to disable the top MWI lamp on a 5330e/5340e but leave the envelope lamp enabled, when there is a message waiting. I can't seem to fine anything about this. Can it be done?

I suppose an alternative would be to just disable them both and then add a MWI button as a programmable key instead, but first I'd need to know if the hard key and or top lamp can be disabled as well.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi dg,
Can't be done.
The upper lamp and the envelope button are tied together.
If you disable the phones ability to use the msg lamp then even the mwi button wouldn't work.

But...
For a work around.
Renumber the phone to anything else.
Add it's actual extension as a button on the phone.  Then you can add the mwi button and the envelop key and upper lamp will be involved.

Depends what software level your 3300 is.  It came out 8.0 UR1, so unless you have really old software you should be good.

That is good info, thanks. I've found that COS option and will test.
By the way, what is 8.0 UR1? We're running release level 6.0 SP1, active software load 12.0.1.24.
(Sorry to be a noob - I'm the system admin here and the installer didn't really train me much at all.)

8.0UR1 is 3300 Release 8.0.1.something, which came out I think around 2007-2008. At 3300 release 10 they re-numbered the software since you no longer needed to run the MCD software on a 3300. So MCD 6.0 equates with 3300 release 12. Confusing, ain't it?
