SX 2000 Lite no access to CDE

Hi

Been a while since I worked on one of these but we have been asked to make some programming changes but have no idea what the username and passwords are. I have tried all of the defaults system , installer , Maint 1 and Maint 2 but no joy.

I am pretty sure that there is no other way to deal with this other than to try and get a data backup default the system to gain access to CDE and restore the data. I assume that the usernames and passwords will not be restored but not sure.

I am going to trawl through documentation to remind me how to take a backup and restore and cross my fingers !!

Any pitfalls to doing this or any suggestions to reset passwords ?

Mitel Tech support can get in and reset the password for you. However, that involves some paperwork and a service fee to do so.

There was a time when this would have worked.  Not any longer.
You have no access to the database while it's being restored.  Once it's restored it will also restore the passwords so you still won't be getting in.

The only other option I can think of is to have Mitel reset it for you.

Installer, maint1 ... are SX 200.
The 2000 had a login and password something like SX2000!?

Mitel have actually now told me that they can not reset the username / passwords Initially they came back with a charge of £150 followed by call from Mitel TSN to apologise and tell me they cant do it anymore and  to default and restore data

system / sx2000

installer / sx2000

Maint1 / sx2000

Maint2 / sx2000

1nstaller / sx2000 and so on but no joy.

I didnt think it restored the passwords on the 2K on a database restore but its been a while since I worked on one.

What release of 2K are you running there was a different system password before the sx2000
