Reception/PA phone to ring same time when CEO line rings

Fairly simple one:

We have a CEO with a single line extension i.e 7500.  He wants the PAs phone 7000 to ring when calls come into his phone.

I could create a Personal ring group for 7500 and add 7000 which is what I plan to do.  Knowing the 3300 there are more than a few ways to do this.  Is a PRG the best option, doesn't seem like it was designed specifically for this purpose?

(we currently have is a COS that always alternates to PA 7000 after 3 rings (7 seconds), but CEO wants both phones to ring).

Put 7500 as keys on his PA's phone.
Now both phones will ring, the PA can put the call on hold and the CEO can take it off of hold.

Thanks for your help,

I've programmed 7500 as a softkey on the 7000 handset.  I used the line type "secretarial". 

When 7500 rings the key on the 7000 lights up, but the actual handset does not ring, its more like a call pickup?

Cool,

Got it now.  For my requirements, this is what i did in MCD 3300


Users and devices:   7000 (secretary phone)
keys
assign a key button
label: 7500 - CEO
line type: key system
ring type:  ring
Button Dir.Number: 7500

Just tested this,

The only problem is the Secretary cannot transfer (supervised) the call back to 7300 .  This is because the line is busy (with the call the secretary has answered).

Looks like im setting this up the wrong way as usual  :-[

I think you need to use mulitcall rather than keysystem for the line type.

I'd keep it as a key system and then put a direct page button on the secretary's phone.
The PA puts the line on hold, presses the direct page button and lets the CEO know he has a call.
Then he can pick it up when he's ready rather than worrying that the call is going to xfer to VM.

Thanks for the help Ralph, that is a nice solution.

I have tested it but the 'direct page' cant 7500 as the line is busy with the incoming call from the "key System".

Perhaps this does need to be a multi line?

The problem with a Multicall key is you can't put it on hold and pick it up at another phone.
I didn't think about the line being busy when trying to direct page.

Next thing to try would be to add a unique button on the CEO phone and a speed dial button on the PA's phone.
To use the PA would put the call on hold, press the speed dial button, the CEO's phone would ring.  He would answer it then pick up the call off of hold.

Ralph, does the secretarial setting not overcome the hold issue as it allows a transfer of the line. At least that is how I understand it?

What about using  a DSS/BLF key on the Secs phone of the Mangers number

that way the call will ring on both phones and then she can transfer the call back to him using the same button
