Memory Usage Alarm - Minor
« on: June 07, 2016, 09:47:13 AM »
Hello all,

I have a 3300 that has a memory usage alarm at the moment.  It is a Minor alarm and it is saying 90% usage.  I believe the only way to clear this alarm is a reboot correct?  Is this something I should do sooner, rather than later?

Thank you,

Mark

I have a busy controller (300+ users) that always runs with 90%+ memory utilisation.

You can use the SET THRESHOLDS maintenance command to increase mem used to, say, 92 for Minor if you're happy it works fine with 92% used.

Actually, I take that back.
The SET THRESHOLDS command only has access to an Alarm Category called MEM.
MEM is call control  memory (not what you want).
It looks like adjusting the system memory (what you want) thresholds is not an available option.
