how to adjust settings via Telnet
« on: October 14, 2013, 12:14:28 PM »
Hello,

I am very inexperienced with the interface to our SX 200 EL-ML and was hoping for some guidance.

The current issue I am troubleshooting is an analog phone (not a Superset 4025 like the others) with call forwarding issues. At first the phone would not ring, but simply go straight to voicemail, so dialing 444 on the keypad reset it & it was able to recieve calls again....but now it will not go to voicemail.

Can anyone guide me on the possible steps/forms I need to find in order to adjust this extensions call forwarding settings? I've been looking through menus/forms, but currently am unable to locate a method for adjusting this remotely. The digital phones are simply enough via Superkey settings, but the analog phones are a mystery to me at this point.

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

aap

As long as you are not using split call forwarding all you need is to dial from the extension, the call forward all calls feature code, the condition code (1 - Always  2 - Busy 3 - No Answer 4 - Busy or No Answer) then the destination.

thanks Johnp

how/where do I find what my featured codes are ? Just go to Access Codes under forms ?

This is a piece I'm missing, what I need to dial to control settings on an analog like this.

Ok JohnP

In my Feature Access Codes section under Forms, this is what it states for Call Forwarding - All Calls :

Feature                              Access Code
03                                        29

So, knowing this I can go to this analog phone extension and dial, 03294 to get all calls to go to voicemail with a busy/no answer ?

No, it would be 29_4_XXX where XXX is voicemail destination

ok great, thank you so much.
that solves many problems for me.

Also, would XXX be the extension number, or another number associated with the extension? If so how to find that?

XXX will be either a hunt group or speed dial depending on the type of voicemail. You could look at the forwarding on a display set to see it's destination

Ok
so whatever # people dial to reach their voicemail is the destination.

will try.

thanks again for helping out.

update : that worked ! thank you very much for helping me find & understand these codes.

If there is a proper manual that lists these sorts of things let me know....the 5 Ive found online may not be the correct ones
