Is there a way to find references to an extension?
« on: August 19, 2013, 05:59:33 PM »
I know on Samsung OfficeServs you can search for where x#### appears in programming... there's no way to find references to an extension without going through each individual value in the 5000 is there?

The reason I ask...

I inherited a system at a car dealership, 60+ users, 2x100 DID Blocks. I didn't program the system initially, but my predecessor left an associated extension SOMEWHERE that points to a user on the PBX. This guy gets ~40+ voicemails over the weekend, usually hangups, and it could take some time to isolate the root of the problem.

Any suggestions, other than to just suck it up and do it?

In programming go to system / devices and feature codes / phones, find the guy that's having issues and right click his extn number then left click on Associated Devices and References.

Tick all the boxes and click on Get References.

I'm not sure if this feature has always been available or has only come in with a recent firmware so give it a go and let us know how you get on.

Cheers.
