migrating a customer from a 200ICP to a 5000
« on: July 11, 2013, 12:48:12 PM »
we have been a 200 and 3300 dealer for years. we have just taken on the 5000 line and are soon to do our first "upgrade" from a 200ICP to a 5000 re-using the 5212 and 5224 sets. have gotten good at telling the customer what to expect when going from a 200ICP to a 3300, but have nothing on this migration.
Does anyone have a list of expected differences? I can see it will be quite long as HOLD is about the only feature that works the same and was hoping on a head start.
thank you very much for any insight. I will be posting in other forums and will update all with my compiled findings.

Wow... you seriously don't know what you are in for. :)

The comparison is very difficult to make, since you are talking a pure PBX (SX200) to a Hybrid Key System, it is literally night and day. I would seriously suggest getting some training from Mitel, the familiarization and end user training plus the regular technical training... seriously, I don't even know where to begin to give you a comparison and I have been using and installing the 200 for over 20 years, and the Axxess/5000 platform for a good 10 years.
