Hi, I am new to this forum, hopefully it is OK to post my question here.

We just migrated to Mitel system and most users use 5312 system.

I tried to do a conference call within the company by:
- calling person A and establish the phone call
- press the little 'people' button (the conference call button), then dial person B's number
- now 3 parties are in the conference, me, person A, person B
- person B hangs up. This causes the whole call session to end.

I'd expect that when person B leaves the call, the call between person A and me remains.

So what's the trick to do the conference call 'properly'? I am really puzzled... Any help is appreciated. many thx

On a Mitel 5000 the people button is the transfer key.

Is your phone system definitely a Mitel 5000?

Press CONFERENCE, then HOLD. Your conference call is split back into separate calls, just like they were prior to joining them.

Drop Call B, and go back into Call A.
