Voice Mail Stuck in Limbo
« on: June 20, 2013, 09:22:43 PM »
Hi there, I have a strange issue.

I have one voicemail box that forwards to an email address.  When I changed IPs of my Mitel box the emails stopped flowing and I found out that the Exchange Server was not relaying from the Mitel IP.  New voice mail messages are now working and going to the correct email.  However, there is about 65 messages that are in the voicemail box that are not being forwarded.  THere was an error message in the log file saying that they couldn't be forwarded because of SMTP issue (before fixing Exchange).

Does anyone know how to push these messages through?

I forgot to mention. I have tried to reboot the Mitel 3300, no luck

To forward the messages manually that are already in the mailbox you will have to access that mailbox and press
7 - to listen to messages
4 - to give to another user or forward to email
3 - to forward to email.

On another note.
I use to live in Mackay. I also worked on Mercy Colleges phone system when it was an Ericsson BP250.
I am assuming this because of the email in the logs. (You should really mask the address when posting to forums so you don't get spammed  ;))
