Silent Monitoring

We are using mitel 3300's along with 5330 IP phone.  I have configured Silent Monitoring for serveral of our managers.  I was wondering if there is a way while silent monitoring if they can talk to the employee, but not have the customer hear.

I don't think there is a way to do this , but thought i would check with you guys.

No way to do this.   
Need to use an instant messanger of some type.
