3300 CXi DB Problem
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:41:36 AM »
We have a new install of a 3300 CXi (lastest v9 software) which is currently showing a major alarm.  When checked it is a database problem.  Not being experienced in DB issues I don't know where to start.  Any guidance would be helpful.

Just a bit of background,  the 3300 was ordered with a BRI card.  This was configured offsite with the wizard.  However when we got there we found that the digital link was an ISDN 30.  We then removed the BRI card and placed a PRI into the same slot without unconfigureing the BRI, we did this after.
We experienced inbound call issues (outbound was fine) All sets would flash once and the call would be dropped.

We then unconfigured the PRI and then installed the BRI card back into slot 1 and the PRI into slot 2, everything then worked fine.  Could all this card changing have caused the problem?

Chances are you have corruption.  You may need to restore your database - save it and then restore again.

Before doing that , go to the command line and enter "dbms save".

The alarm may go away.  If it comes back do your data restore.
