Lol... this is Mitel, it will just suddenly show up in Mitel OnLine one day with no notice.

Really? 5.1 had three pages of enhancements and was released about a year ago. :)

(Just knitpicking...)

Here is a draft copy of the Mitel 5000 Release 6.0 Technical Training Update document... Just a teaser, I have had it for almost two months but don't ask where I got it!!! I have also heard June, but a tech support person I spoke to the other day would neither confirm or deny that, only said it is taking longer than expected...  ;)

Were are one of the beta site for v6.0 and we have our EFT cnf call tomorrow to go over the last build, I think by June it should be out, we had alot of problems with the license and converted databases and the UC360 phone. But I can say the new features are great with the mid call feature, dchp server.

Sounds good, except that Mitel has said they are pulling the mid-call feature in the announcement bulletin.

I am interested in the 5000 using the 5603 wireless phone.  I'm a bit confused as to what is required.  Would the phone be able to access any access point (AP) within range on the network.  Do you have to use the Mitel IP-DECT base stations (terribly expensive)?  Do you also need the messaging server if you want to use the phone just as a phone?
