Transfer to Voicemail
« on: April 12, 2013, 11:24:47 AM »
Good Morning!

Does anyone have a quick and easy set of directions on how to setup phones to transfer directly to voicemail on MCD 6? We just upgraded from 4.0 to 6.0 and this was one of the reasons. We are trying to get rid of our extensive workaround.

Thanks, Jeremy

It is laid out pretty well in the on-line help, it uses the Call Coverage form. Go to Help, Features, then "Direct transfer to Voice Mail" and it is pretty easy, three steps is all that is needed.

Got it! Works... now because it can't be that easy I have another question.

Most all our users use the visual voicemail feature, so that takes away being back to just hit the message button, dial the ext and hangup to send direct to voicemail. Instead they will have to hit the Trans/Conf button, then a programmable speed key to the FAC, then the extension.

So here is the questions. Can I program a key to always transfer to a FAC or speed call? I am trying to make this as simple as possible, I'd like to be able to hit 1 key, dial and extension and hang up. LIke a one touch transfer.
