Hi
we use hotdesking for our users. So when logged out, the phone mentions locked. Can we change that to login , or "please logon"

It sounds like "Phone Lock" option in the Class of Service is enabled. Disabling it on the COS of the concerning phones change this.

No that is the only message available.
dutch_tuga since they are hotdesking it is more likely they have the phone programmed as device only i.e doesn't use a license and can't do anything other then 911 unless you log in.
