Pushing Caller ID From the PBX
« on: March 05, 2013, 04:18:27 PM »
On these Mitels can I get the PBX to over ride the Carriers caller ID info? Seems I am having some caller ID issues with the doc names coming up now and we havent made any changes to our PBX's? Carrier has checked their Network and says its correct , but in making test calls it still comes up with the Docs name.If I can where can I make that change in the DB on a 5000.

Typically the PBX does not send NAME information out of the system, most carriers reject this, it is used for inter-PBX Q.SIG networking (not Mitel 5000 networking). Each user can have his/her own outbound caller ID number set, then the lookup is done on the far end to a database that "dips" the number to get name information it presents to the end user.
